What is Pinkalicious and Who is Edrina?

Pinkalicious CC is an International All-Pink car club, established in California since 2023, that empowers women to leave a mark on the automotive industry and car community through PINK – a space where women are not always welcome. Edrina is a longtime member of Pinkalicious, who defies the status quo and embraces her uniqueness in the automotive world, all while creating friends and showing off her glamorous style across California in her pink C6 Corvette.

How We Met

Shortly after Pinkalicious’ humble beginning in April of 2023, the Barbie Movie hype was in full swing and pink cars were all the rage. ‘Barbie Summer’ was the perfect time to build the Pinkalicious family, we knew pink cars were on the rise. As a club we coordinated a small cruise in our local town in Central California to attend the Barbie movie together. We extended the invite to anyone who wanted to join and to our pleasant surprise we see a little pink corvette roll up. What better vehicle to attend the Barbie movie than the Barbie car!

Edrina’s Success in Media Production

Since dipping her toe in the car scene with us and everyone stopping her in the street to take photos with her car, Edrina realized her worth in the industry, and she found a talent agent for her car. She has owned a pink vehicle for just 3 years now and she has an impressive portfolio of music videos, fashion catalogs, and photoshoots for big names. “Lil Pink Corvette” ‘is her cars name, and it has been featured in RuPual’s Drag Racecontestants Sugar and Spice’s official music video, a FashionNova Kids Catalog, and most recently Zara Larson’s official music video, as a well as many more photo ops. All on her own, Edrina travels up and down the state of California to display her ‘vette, from Napa to San Diego and she is a fan favorite wherever she goes! And to think, none of this would have happened without her courage to pioneer the car industry with us! Use Edrina’s story of courage and success as a lesson to yourself, take that risk, and do something out of your comfort zone, even it if means you will have to do it alone.

Inside the glittery Corvette was one of the nicest women we have ever been lucky enough to meet. Very bravely, Edrina came alone to a social event where she knew no one, and we are so glad she did. Coming from a women who was all too familiar with the feeling of attending a car event with the hopes of meeting friends and leaving disappointed that the men dominated event didn’t have any friends to offer and sometimes I even left with mocking comments about my vehicle, I respect her courage to come out with us unknowing of what it would entail. This is one of the main reasons that inspired the birth of Pinkalicious, creating the compassionate space for women to feel safe and have fun in the car community, but in the beginning there had to be pioneers willing to find the space with us, such as Edrina. Which is why she will always be an important member to us.

A Space for Women to Connect

Since the beginning in April of 2023, we have hosted over 30 pink car shows across the country. Along the way we have made hundreds of thousands of friends and supporters, we now have influence in over 25 different countries and all 50 States. We have a combined follower count of 200K+ across our platforms. Together, we have been able to create a community in the automotive industry that was previously unfathomable. Nothing makes us happier than seeing women together, laughing, supporting each other, and enjoying the space that we created together. The goal was never to create a separate culture for women, but to prove that we belong in the same scene as everyone else, and to show car loving women they are truly not alone in this intimidating space. Strong, brave women like Edrina are the backbone of asserting our belonging in unconventional spaces as women, and we encourage you as a reader to go leave your mark, weather you’re welcome there or not.

Edrina had mentioned that she had just got her car wrapped pink a couple of days prior to attending her first event with us, so this was her maiden voyage and first introduction in the car scene ever. She was extremely nervous and said this was very out of her comfort zone, she mentioned she never had a car event pique her interest before meeting us, so this was exactly right for her. This event was the 2nd outing we had ever planned as a club; we had a handful of pink vehicles just like Edrina who were willing to take the chance on our event. We had men and women alike in attendance, people of all occupations and ages, everyone got along seamlessly. We admired each others' cars and shared experiences about driving such a loud statement of a vehicle. Everyone at once felt like they belonged, and just like that the Pinkalicious family and culture was born. Edrina has attended every Pinkalicious event since.
